Russian Doll Card

As a mini day-brief and part of my 'design lead' thread of my project brief, I was asked by a friend to make a birthday card in my usual illustrated textiles style, with a theme of russian dolls.
I was given a photo of the kind of style they wanted, so I researched a few more images of russian dolls, started sketching and then fit everything together to produce a card at the end of the day.

Some research images...

Some sketching ideas... trying to get the right shape/features - face/clothes/arms? feet?

Some fabric swatches to sift through...!

Things coming together...

The finished dolls + card...

Feedback in the group tutorial was mainly about the cost of my pieces - if this took me a full day, realistically how much should I charge for it? (I'll come back to this following some research in another post soon)
Also I all the materials used were recycled, (apart from the card), this wasn't stated anywhere and perhaps it should be - it'd make it more appealing to audiences and it shows I'm being nice and green...
