I've not updated for a while..... I've been trying to get on with my Critical Studies essay, which seems to manage to dissolve days of my life into nothing but confusion.... argh! Deadline is on Friday so I'm planning on getting it finished and out the way so I can crack on with some more of this slightly more hands on and creative stuff!
I've tried out my bear again, this time without the template and instead sketched each frame of the bear out... it definitely made an improvement!
It's short and sweet but I'm pleased with the way it's shaping out. Next I need to make it a little more interesting... Next take I need to add some more movement, maybe move his arm or turn his head? The sketching each frame out didn't take too long at all, but if I'm doing more movement I'm going to have to plan a little more how it'll look. I want to make sure the proportions stay reasonable and I keep the quirky style, looking forward to playing around with this a bit more now though!
I have realised the process of drawing then scanning in each image is a silly time consuming process, so I might try borrowing a graphics tablet from college, (not sure on the possibilities of that over Easter though?) I'd like to try using one first and see if it's worthwhile to invest in one, might save me a little bit more time!
