For my Final Major Project on my Foundation Course I explored my Great Nan's house which had been left untouched since she moved to an old people's home.. So there were crazy amounts of collections around there - a battered old leather case full of random buttons, a big old card box full of family photos dating as early as 1912, tons of ornaments around the house - some mini collections of their own, just a really amazing collection of old belongings. It was a really exciting project and I'd love to do something like it again, but at the same time I want to push myself, so I'm going to avoid the obvious route of 'collections' for that reason.

However, if I make books I need to really think clearly about the content - it's what I struggled with for my animations and I think I'm going to end up in the same situation if I'm not careful.
And then there is the route of an animation, which I'd really love to take, but we can also produce a clip to be shown on a show reel.. so I'm torn between hand made crafts and animation - nless I decide to merge the two together.
Those are the initial thoughts around the brief anyway, I should really finalise a rationale.. which I will post once I have a short one completed.
There's a lot of work to be done and I'm looking forward to woking towards a 'final piece' as such, it's exciting :)
