Vital V & Simon's Cat

Vital V Viral
I came across this on the Behance Network site, (reference to my earlier post about an online portfolio - still in progress). There's some really great things on there and it seems like an ideal site for networking with professionals and other freelancers, cannot wait to get involved with all this :)
So this animation popped up and it just really puts my attempt to shame, but at least I can see the opportunities for how my work can develop with a bit more time and a narrative to work with.

Simon Tofield - Simon's Cat
Toby mentioned this to us in one of our previous animation group meetings and I remembered it whilst watching the Vital V ad. I just love how simply each frame is drawn, in some of the Simon's Cat animations, it's only the movement of the cat that is really animated for the majority of the piece. I think the beauty of this is that he's managed to use such a simple yet effective concept and style, then transform it into a really funny narrative emphasised by the personality of the cat.
I find these short animations so addictive, I just want to watch the next one and the next one because I immediately understand Tofield's style and it's just so appealing.
