Theme of Imagery?

I've been struggling the last few days to produce work, because I don't know what to draw/make/sew - and I think I've realised why!
As Nick importantly pointed out to me, I need to think about my theme of imagery - especially if I'm considering my work on a 'professional' standard. All of the work I've looked at since the group tutorial, I've noticed there's a professional manner in the way the work is described, including a reason behind the choice of images/texture/ideas/general running theme.

I've started to throw a few ideas about, including Home... there's a lot of memories/images/themes I can think of, and it's easy to get imagery of 'home' and debate about where that is and why I feel (or don't feel) like I'm at home.... I could be more specific and consider women in the home - particularly with my CurleyCakes ideas - this stands out as a consistent underlying theme with images of the home and kitchen appearing in my work, and always with a very feminine feel..... Nostalgia - this is broad and easy to draw ideas from, with several 'sub-themes' possible - including home/family etc.
I've started to consider traveling and journeys.... it's broad in a sense that I can travel to the end of the road, or I can travel to the other side of the country or the world, and still discover something that I hadn't seen before. I've been to a few locations in the last couple of years that I have plenty of photographs of, including London, Glastonbury, Ireland, Paris, Rome, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus... so I have a lot of materials ready to draw images from.

I also really like the idea of this theme as it's applicable to everyone - as we all travel somewhere, even if it's to the kitchen for a cup of tea! It's quite exciting the more I think about it, as the idea of journeys and traveling gives opportunity for this to develop into a more interactive project if suitable in the following few months - and potentially an FMP proposal. (I'm thinking working with children/schools/linking with PPD & art therapy ideas?)

Now for that ball to start rolling ....
