THE PLAN! - storyboards and prep. photos

The storyboards for the animation which I'm taking to the final crit..

I hope to get feedback on the general look/feel/images of the animation, so that I can make appropriate tweaks here and there if necessary.
I want feedback on the purpose of the animation - as it stands it's more of a personal task for me to tick some boxes and build up my confidence, skills and style, so there's no real message being sent across the animation. I'm wondering if this is a problem or if I can get away with just leaving it as it is? Do I need any text at the end, like a catchphrase or some food for thought kind of thing?

I also planned out on the wall in the seminar room where the animation is taking place where abouts everything will be. This gives me a good idea of the size of things, where the camera can stand, and a few more ideas on alternative angles etc.

One problem I did come across was difficulty in the 'O' being taped down - it looks really tatty especially close up... I'm hoping that with electrical tape it's a little easier? I need to get hold of some cheap stuff so I'm not wasting my materials, then will test out another letter 'O' and hopefully sort it out.
This was really useful planning everything out before hand, I'm learning from past mistakes that as the animating itself is quite tedious and time consuming, it's worth prepping things up and trying to overcome these little hiccups early on. I've got a good idea for size of other features as well now, like the little cut out cupcakes, the photographed book and the paper sunshine.
It's incredible how a little bit of planning and sorting yourself out really adds a lot of confidence to the work ahead, I'm just hoping it all clicks into place ok and ends up looking as slick as I'm wanting it to look!

My plan from now on is....
any free time available carry on rotoscoping!

Weds - Final Crit in the afternoon
Thursday - Possibly testing out shots, check everything looks ok (if not then do this Friday AM)
Friday - START SHOOTING!! 9am - college closes *
Saturday - SHOOTING!! 10am - 4pm *
Monday - SHOOTING!! 9am - Late! *
Tuesday-Friday - edit everything together and add sound....
(*Have checked with Louise & Matt down in AV I can lock the equipment overnight in the little seminar room so that I can keep the equipment out and use over the weekend)

I'm hoping to have a completed animation by the end of next week so that I can get some feedback on it before the deadline on the following weds; if I can tweak anything editing/digital animations/sound then this can be sorted in time for a sweet polished off piece of work!

Fingers crossed and here we go.
