In the third walk cycle attempt I put in a 'fade out' at the end, which was actually a solid layer of black that I added opcity keyframes in for the last few seconds of the sequence. It pretty much worked, but I wanted to find out the usual way of doing it...
So this is more of a reminder for myself, but it did take me a while to find this. In the end I actually remembered the guy showing this in the Harry Potter sequence tutorial from CreativeCow.net.. so it did come in handy after all!
Add an adjustment layer and then alter the exposure on keyframes where you want to start the fade in(s) and/or fade out(s).
I'll put an example up asap :)
