Summer Summed Up

I've had a busy summer... I've been working 9-5 for the last 3 and a half months.. it sure takes it out on you and damages your social life... but all the same, I had fun.
I did post a few bits up here about where I was and what I was doing, but unfortunately as it's such a large business I was told to remove it.. so can't really say much about that!

One thing I want to mention though is that I had a great opportunity lined up to spend some time with part of the advertising/marketing departments on some recent promotional work; I had the day lined up to meet one of the members of staff in London and shadow her for the day whilst she visited some agencies to discuss recent business. Unfortunately due to me blogging about my upcoming experience, the comany saw it as a possible threat of me publicising my meetings in London and highly confidential content... which obviously wouldn't happen!!!! :(
So unfortunately, I thought I was doing a great thing by letting the vis com team know about my latest adventures, but the damaged caused upon myself and the amazing opportunity lost was a little horrendous if I'm honest.
Never mind, there's always next time . . . .

I really did enjoy my Summer there though, I was dreading the office environment again after previous office based work, but this time round, actually felt part of a real team and felt as though my input was as highly valued as everyone else working in the office.
I've been told I'll be welcomed back again next Summer too.. so that's a safe back-up plan I'm very pleased about!

Other than work work work, I managed to squeeze a weekend in Hereford which was lovely, I love exploring new places.. I find it very inspirational and exciting to realise there's somewhere new to discover just around the corner.
I went for a 10 day holiday with some of my new housemates to Portugal, which was brilliant.. such a good time! And also a couple of days in Spain with my boyfriend, at his grandparents villa, which was also a well deserved break in my opinion!

As for college related work, there's not really much hard core evidence of that.. just all in my mind, swimming around in thought at the moment (a large proportion of those thoughts being slight panic as to what I really want to do here and where I want to go...)

Whilst I was working over the Summer, I made a few contacts with the advertising/marketing teams and I'm hoping I can still get a few days experience with some of their teams and see what actually happens in the real world there.

As for the next 6 months or so... I'm going headfirst into the deep end. Go for everything. Accept anything. And if get some money along the way, bonus.
I need to push myself to do what I want, rather than thinking how much of a good idea it would be.

So here we go ...
