We had our briefing this week, and I must admit, I am excited... definitely more so than last year.
Last year I was so confused and angry about what on earth we had to do as it seemed really poorly presented to us as a brief. 'Too much too soon' Christian said, which I think is quite true.
This time round, I know it's down to me to explore what I am interested in, and it's a great time to do it - fresh in on the second year.
I'm looking at taking anything and everything that jumps to me...
in particular, video... I want to look at where it started, different techniques of recording, different equipment, different presentation methods; the whole viewing experience.
I want to consider the past stuff, make little spinning wheels out of cardboard.. and look at where video is going; what does it mean to me if I'm to make videos for the future.
This year I'm embracing the video.
I want to carry on with my photography interests, really become comfortable with it all and be able to take some great photographs... I'm kind of like the stage of learning to drive where it makes sense but you have to think about everything before you can actually do it ..... I want to be at that stage where it just comes naturally, and you just sit in and drive.
Because of my interest in photography and video, I'm going to spend a lot of time in the computer suites becoming familiar with software. Same concept of learning to drive.. I need to get on the M1 and get going straight off.. not keep stalling at every roundabout on the way.
I'm WILL enjoy comm tech this year - got to make up for last years efforts!
