Quick Rant

We've just had our marks back for our latest brief of designing for audiences.. (and, might I add, none still for comm tech, our elective or our first crit studies presentations - which was last year!!!) and I feel disappointed. Again.

I'm a pretty hard worker, I strive to do my best and all that jazz, and when you come out with a good 2.1 mark, but not an excellent first, you wonder what you could have done better?

So I've decided, we need targets, damn it!!! It would help immensely to have a rough idea of quality/quantity expected of us, and then when we get our marks back, rather than a summary of what we actually did for our projects - yes, I know what I did, because I did it..... I would really really appreciate a sense of what I missed, what I could have pushed and should have tried to do better - otherwise, I just feel like I am carrying on as I always am, trying my hardest but not actually developing any strengths at all.

This lack of expectations has made me, in all honesty, quite nervous about our MP - we've just been told to do what we like, what we enjoy, in a range of possible fields, and then hand in on the 18th May... just a little daunting?!!

How much are we expected to produce? Do we need to document it as extensively as we have before? Do we need sketch books? Do we need to produce back up work? dDo we need to do extensive audience research? How much are we expected to produce?

It causes stress! We've only got a couple of sessions with our tutors for tutorials as well, so this  makes it difficult to push myself any further, because I'm not sure if I'm doing enough or in the right direction?

(I guess however, i do have the added luxury of an excuse to make cupcakes ...once lent is finished damn it... to keep me hopefully a little less stressed!!)
