I haven't really covered much of my latest brief on here, but that's basically because I've been too busy stressing out over PowerPoint instead, which is how we had to document the whole project happenings.
I dislike.
nay.
I HATE PowerPoint.
So unfortunately I do not wish to discus much more on that matter, other than I did enjoy the brief, although it did go pretty quick with reading week in between, (which was filled with my elective) and I feel I have learnt a bit from it... even as little as considering how you present something, not just what you present. First impressions on how something looks does create a huge impact; it's always good to feel like you've impressed someone with the little knowledge you have :)
So... moving on... Major Project.... the finale of this first year of vis com... and what have I decided to do?
Explore textiles, surface pattern and crafts.
Yes, highly vis com based I know... but I'm taking something I enjoy as an inspiration for an illustrative approach.... baking and cakes :)
I do love cakes.
Inspired by textiles collage, other textiles techniques, a general strong interest in the area, and a desire to learn more... and of course eat cake. (and burn off the calories in a creative way, such as knitting :) )
It does make sense, yes?!
If not, then here's some links to some initial inspirations I have had from just browsing (mostly other baking/textile lovers blogs...)
Enjoy, and I'll update on where I'm going very soon!

(and i dare you to try not to start dribbling or craving cake)
