First Steps

Ok, so I thought I’d have a go at this again to get my head round it all..

You’ll probably find i tend to ramble.. I’ll try my  best not to, but I’ll apologise in advance for it anyway :)
I thought I’d start with where I’ve come from, what I’m interested in at the moment, throw a few ideas out there, see if anyone else is interested or has any other ideas for me.
I learnt so much on the Foundation course back home, a friend of mine told me he learnt more in the first 2 weeks of the foundation than 2 years of A-level, and I thought that must be quite a challenge. (That’d be Maddy now in the 2nd year of VisCom)… So I went for the Foundation, and wow he was right. There’s so much more than the standard ‘urban landscape’ and ‘a sense of place and atmosphere’ projects, and just acrylic paint and oil pastels to work with… SO glad I went for the foundation!
Along the way I’ve been introduced to new ideas, new ways of presenting ideas and thinking and becoming much more involved in my work. I really enjoyed the graphics and illustration projects set, and really got stuck into developing my fashion & textiles pieces further onto fashion illustrations.
Artist I came across that influenced and inspired my work included the likes of Rob Phillips, Laura McCafferty and Patrick Morgan…
